Neosemioticisms in Poststructuralist Narratives: Postmodern Dialectics

Neosemioticisms in Poststructuralist Narratives: Postmodern Dialectics

Please keep in mind that this review is more than 5 years old.

Scatalogical would be a word too inherently fraught with mismeanings and impossibilities to describe Professor Vaishnav's taste for nasty puns. Aside from that, he was a decent professor--always showing up, lecturing, and so on. Yet perhaps the semioticist and neosemioticist techniques he discusses have left him in a forest of his own verbal undoings, where syllables hang from trees on hyphenated branches, where meanings are scarce but sound is a-plenty. Here all cowardice must be left behind. Here must perish every craven thought. Neil Vaishnav is like no other. Take his class.

Workload:

30-50 pages of DENSE reading per week, two midterms, three papers, no final. A lot of work, but not having a final ain't too shabby come May!
